Staff Announcement: September 2022

We are pleased to welcome Andres Gascon to the IRB Office as an Associate IRB Analyst.

Andres comes to us from Midwest Pharmacy Specialty in Chicago, IL and Northshore University Health System in Skokie, IL, where he worked as a pharmacy and patient care technician where he managed medication inventory, served as an advocate and interpreter for the Latino patient population and performed data entry. Prior to that, he also worked as a research associate at UIC, where he led a data collection project, and his findings were added to a manuscript that is currently pending peer review for submission to an academic journal. Andres holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Health Studies & Criminology, Law, and Justice from University of Illinois at Chicago.

As an Associate IRB Analyst, Andres will be the first point-of-contact for the Northwestern research community by managing our main office phone line and email, as well as conducting reviews of minor modifications.
